Welcome to Southwood Middle School; a school with impressive achievement and commitment to excellence in education.  As the Magnet Lead, I am committed to ensuring a holistic middle school experience for students.  Southwood offers seven award-winning magnet programs that serve to engage the curious and creative learner in an immersive visual and performing arts environment.  Our magnet programs provide authentic learning which goes beyond theoretical knowledge and allows students to apply their skills in real-world contexts.  By integrating hands-on projects, community engagement, and experiential learning opportunities, Southwood Middle helps students develop practical skills and make meaningful connections to the world around them. This pedagogy is attributed to our highly qualified and talented teachers, as well as our community partnerships.
