About the Visual Arts Audition
The Visual Arts Audition will consist of:
1
Evaluating samples of artwork accomplished by the student, either at home or in school.
In compiling your portfolio, you should carefully prepare and select five to ten original works of art which show your ability and interest. The portfolio should represent as many different mediums as possible. The portfolio should include works made from observation, imagination and experimentation, with some works in black and white and some in color. If you have a sketchbook, you should bring it to the audition.
All students must bring their portfolio, consisting of FIVE TO TEN BEST EXAMPLES of their artwork.
2
Administering a three-pronged “observation, imagination and visual memory” drawing test.
